For the Paris 2024 Games, the Georges-Vallerey swimming pool will get a makeover. The project, which is managed by the City of Paris, involves the complete renovation of the building and its equipment for athletes to train during the Games.

The project includes the renovation of the building’s facades and glass roof as well as the modernisation of its technical installations (water treatment system, air treatment system, lighting, fire safety, etc.). It also aims to improve the energy performance of the building.

Also, one of the main objectives of the project is to move towards universal accessibility by creating an accessible pathway from the entrance of the facility to the pool. The changing rooms, toilets and showers will also be accessible.

The project manager will be appointed at the end of September and the works should start in the second half of 2021 for a period of approximately 18 months.
